Dear friends and colleagues:

we are happy to launch GLOBAL REBOOT, a communication campaign inviting citizens across the globe to share information and ideas on how to 'reboot' our global system, from climate change, to increasing poverty and economic collapse.

As a first step toward the establishment of a community of like-minded citizens, GLOBAL REBOOT presents the on-line documentary The Age of Adaptation, which argues that global warming, social inequality and economic instability are converging into a 'systemic crisis' affecting the whole planet.

The Age of Adaptation also uncovers the rhetoric behind many alleged techniques to resolve climate change, from clean coal to carbon offsetting, and concludes that only a general 'reboot' of our social and economic model can help us adapt to the challenges lying ahead.

We hope you will enjoy the documentary and share it with your own friends. siamo felici di poter lanciare GLOBAL REBOOT, una campagna di comunicazione che invita cittadini in tutto il mondo a condividere informazioni ed idee su come 'resettare' il nostro sistema globale contemporaneo, caratterizzato di cambiamenti climatici, povertà crescente e continue crisi economiche.

Come primo passo verso la creazione di una vera e propria comunità di cittadini interessati a 'fare qualcosa', GLOBAL REBOOT presenta L'era dell'adattamento, un documentario che dimostra come i cambiamenti climatici, la disuguaglianza sociale e l'instabilità economica stiano convergendo in una crisi sistemica.

L'era dell'adattamento svela la retorica che si nasconde dietro alcune tecniche che si propongono di risolvere il riscaldamento globale, dal carbone pulito alla compensazione del carbonio, e giunge alla conclusione che soltanto un rivoluzione complessiva del nostro sistema economico e sociale può favorire l'adattamento necessario a rispondere alle sfide del futuro.
